Thomas and Zachary's kindergarten had a Schwarz und Weiß Tag (a black and white day). They could dress up as anything as long as it was black and white. Thomas as well as many other kids were pirates. Zachary was the only bat, although there was a Batman. There were many clowns and snowmen. This celebration was their way of celebrating Fashing, but in an educational way. They talk all week about things that are black and white. A few years ago the kindergarten was run by the Protestant Sisters in our town. They did not allow any Fashing celebrations. But now they celebrate it with a breakfast feast and dressing up. They also played Schneeman und Eisbär (snowman and polar bear).

Looks like you celebrated Halloween twice so far. They really look cute in their outfits. Mom is talented in costume design. Thanks for the pictures.
