We went to Strasbourg last year for New Year's Eve, but didn't get there until 7 or 8pm and the Christmas markets were already closed. So Stewart decided we should try to go again this year, but leave sooner. Our first stop was the huge Christmas tree and the Christmas village set beneath it.
Last year it was already dark and there were kids setting off fireworks. This year we were able to walk around the markets and see their goods. This was Zachary's pose, after he said "mom, take a picture of me!"
It was fun to walk around and see all the buildings uniquely decorated.
Here we are walking through the streets, enjoying the decorations. There were several buildings with large and small teddy bears hung outside.
Beignet Brezelen
Later we saw them cut out like little men. I think we will have to give that a try next year. Instead of Gingerbread men, we will have Beignet men.

We have had our fill and are heading back to the car. Zachary found a chunk of ice and played ice soccer on the way back.
